Clarissa Rodriguez is an associate at Atkinson & Brownell, P.A. Before attending law school, Clarissa taught English Literature and coached the Speech & Debate team at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Broward County, Florida. She received her J.D. from Nova Southeastern Shepard Broad Law School in December 2006 and was admitted to practice in the State of Florida in February 2007. While in law school, Clarissa was a member of the Hispanic Law Student Association, Hispanic Moot Court Competition Team, and Cuban American Bar Association Mentorship Program. She earned the Book Award in Law & Literature Seminar, a Pro Bono Award for her work at the Florida Immigrant Advocacy Center, received a scholarship from the Cuban American Bar Association and, received recognition in Trial Advocacy and Advanced Trial Advocacy. Clarissa was one of the first students to graduate Nova Southeastern with a second law degree from la Universidad de Barcelona, Spain by enrolling in the university’s dual-degree program. She is currently seeking admission to practice law throughout the European Union and several jurisdictions in Latin America. Clarissa is currently a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar, the International Section of the Florida Bar, the Cuban American Bar Association and the American Translators Association. She is currently seeking her certification to become a Certified Translator for legal and medical Spanish instruments and is also working on becoming fluent in French. |
